Macallan Exceptional Cask 2002 #2340

Part of the pretigious Exceptional Single Cask series from The Macallan, this single cask release was distilled in March 2002 and matured for 16 years in a European oak sherry hogshead. Bottled in 2018 a natural cask strength of 57.7% abv, just 283 bottles were produced from cask #2340.

The nose has caramel and muscavado sugar, followed by rich dried fruits which develop in the palate alongside woodspice and fresh ginger. The finish is long; rich and intense with a delicious sherry aftertaste.
